US Open Golf 2009 Leaderboard | PGA Tour US Open Golf 2009 Leaderboard - Mike Weir was leading on US Open Golf 2009 Leaderboard and American Tiger Woods was in trouble, his chances for a 15th title major were thinner. This could be happened after the Canadian Mike Weir took only the head of the 109th U.S. Open Golf Championship by making a map of 64 after the first round disrupted by rain Thursday and ended Friday.

“He was one of those days where everything you succeed. I did not score too, but mainly concentrating on my shot,” said Weir who had two shots ahead of Sweden’s Peter Hanson and three on a American trio consisting of David Duval, Todd Hamilton and Ricky Barnes.

photo_weir“It’s fun but this score does not mean great things. It is the U.S. Open, and you must be over the top of a tower,” said the Canadian, winner of the Masters in 2003, after signed the card at the best initial tour of the U.S. Open since 2003, only some of the record of Grand Slam tournaments of all time.

If Weir was at the festival, Tiger Woods, N.1 world title holder, and several big names had no satisfaction from this first round in two days.

“I hit pretty good shots, but unfortunately I could not finish the first round as I would have liked,” said the man with 14 major trophies including conceded after two double bogeys and three bogeys.
